This special machine is ideally equipped for any heavy-duty task and is easy to operate. The enormous press force can handle even the toughest challenges without compromising on precision. The possibilities for large and heavy components have never been greater, thanks in part to the available tandem design. For even greater bending lengths and tonnages, our underfloor machines are available as the ideal addition.

Because a large-format machine should also be able to handle large loads, surface-mounted versions are available with up to 400 t and 6.10 m length or up to 600 t and 4.40 m length.

Because no task should be too difficult, the crowning and hydraulic upper and lower tool clamps can withstand up to 6,000 kN/m.

Precise angles - from the very first bend

Even when processing large or thick workpieces, reliable precision is one of the basic requirements for avoiding reworking. This is ensured by several angle measurement systems such as ACB Laser, ACB Wireless, Operator Controlled Bending (OCB) and the TCB (Thickness Controlled Bending) software solution.

Heavy-Duty (HD) options

When bending heaving workpieces, various heavy-duty options are used to counteract the high forces. Special options such as bending aids and support brackets for loads up to 300 kg make handling easier.

Surface-mounted design

The TruBend Series 8000 can process up to 600 t on 4.40 m as a surface-mounted design and is an unbeatable powerhouse for your bending tasks, ensuring that you do not reach your limits too soon.

High flexibility

From long and complex parts to deep nests – you can cover a wide range of applications and meet your individual requirements with one machine. Complex bending and station bending or tandem operation for bending lengths of up to 16 m are also possible.

Quick and reliable

High box heights, easy removal

With an installation height of 880 mm, even workpieces with large box heights can be accommodated. Machine operators can easily bend and remove the workpieces. Another plus: All TRUMPF standard tools are compatible without adapters thanks to the 700 mm stroke.

ACB Wireless angle measuring system

Sensor disks integrated in the upper tool measure and correct every angle so that you always get precise results. The user-friendly ACB (Automatically Controlled Bending) Wireless automatically detects the position of the sensors, and the tool and control communicate wirelessly.

ACB laser angle measuring system

The ACB Laser is an optical system for angle measurement. Without contact, the laser projects a line onto the sheet, and a camera detects the angle. So that you get precise results from the very first component. For angle measurement, 2 measuring units automatically move to the correct position without any intervention on your part.

Backgauges

Up to 6 CNC-controlled backgauge axes position your workpieces accurately and securely, allowing you to bend precisely over the entire length, even with deep flanges. Optionally, the backgauges are also available in a particularly robust heavy-duty version with a traverse path of up to 1000 mm.

Crowning

The automatic crowning works precisely down to the last detail. At intervals of 250 mm, you can adjust the crowning curve precisely to your bending task as required. The crowning can withstand loads of up to 6,000 kN/m, ensuring that you always get exactly the press force you need.

Lower tool displacement

1 tool, 2 different bending processes: The lower tool displacement makes it possible. In concrete terms, this means: You increase your part variety and save setup time and investment costs. The lower tool displacement enables special applications, such as folding.

On-Demand Drive

With the on-demand drive, the new TruBend Series 8000 also scores highly in terms of sustainability. The revolution speed of the motor is automatically adjusted to the press beam movement. This saves you up to 26% energy and bends pleasantly quietly.

Support brackets

Handle heavy components easily: continuous height-adjustable support brackets make it possible. The robust support brackets can be individually loaded with up to 300 kg and are available with different supports.

Bending aids

The bending aid with automatic height adjustment supports the bending personnel, especially when bending heavy or large parts. The heavy-duty version can bear loads of up to 300 kg.

MobileControl and MobileControl Pro

The handy MobileControl and MobileControl Pro operating units are attached to a communications rail in the press beam along the entire bending length. This means you always have important functions under control, with no unnecessary trips required.

Additional monitor

An additional screen on the machine control simplifies operation. With its help, you can use the shop floor programming and produce at the same time, for example. The convenient display of information on the screens supports paperless production.

Innovative control

The new control and navigation of the TruBend Series 8000 combines the advantages of modern multi-touch technology with industrial-grade robustness. This allows you to operate your bending machine as easily and intuitively as a tablet or smartphone – and implement virtually any application with minimal effort.

Perfect illumination with LEDs

Additional LEDs illuminate the operating area as effectively as possible and ensure safer operation and better working conditions. At the same time, they prevent heat generation that is bothersome for the personnel.

Tool Indicator with status display

Set up in no time: The LED bar in the upper tool clamp shows exactly where the tool stations should be set up. It also shows the current machine status and displays which tool station the next bend is to be carried out on. The illuminated signs save unnecessary trips to the control panel.

Bending line laser

The bending line lasers enable you to correctly align the parts to be bent. For this purpose, the system projects a laser line onto the sheet metal, which serves as a visual guide for the operator during bending. The added value: less rejects, more productivity The bending line laser also enables so-called scribed line bending, i.e. bending without the support of the backgauge – for more working space.

Tool magazine

ToolShuttle, the practical tool magazine, stands directly next to your TruBend Series 8000 machine. Tools are simply pushed in and out of the machine during set-up. This is particularly convenient for heavy tools and saves time. The ToolShuttle has space for nearly 200 feet of tools and ensures everything is organized.

Standard tools

You can choose between more than 150 upper and lower tool types for your personal range. You can order tools individually or as a set.

CDW tools

These bending tools with consistent die width use an innovative die geometry to combine several functions in one design. This makes bending easier, faster and more flexible than ever before. The special geometry also ensures a smaller impression width on the sheet metal, optimum effectiveness of the bending foil and a shorter minimum flange length.

Special tool

For specific requirements, TRUMPF will develop your own personal tool solution. To guarantee the quality of your parts, we test the tools in advance with your specific material and create initial sample parts. This allows you to remain as flexible as possible in the manufacture of components or even cover additional applications.

Automation solution with Starmatik

With the robot on a movable transverse rail, the TruBend 8000 can bend sheets up to eight meters in length with a maximum weight of 220 kilograms fully automated. The configuration is tailored to your needs. If required, you can add a storage connection, centering station, gripper and tool changing along with a regripping station and other sheet processing systems, such as joining or thermoforming. The complete solution can be programmed offline.
